Dishwasher is the perfect kitchen appliance that can free you from the greasy kitchen utensils. You can put them in dishwasher and the food storage containers, mugs, spoons and more can be thoroughly cleaned. What Kitchenware Can be Safely Used in Dishwasher?
1.Plastic.
Most PP plastic food storage containers are safe in dishwasher that made of HDPE, LDPE and PP plastic. Bear in mind that never take a risk to put disposable plastic products into dishwasher.
Note: These plastic products can only be washed in top-rack dishwasher. Otherwise, the intense heat at the bottom rack will warp or damage your plastic products.
2.Metals.
Stainless steel, aluminum and other metals are perfect for dishwasher. You should rinse metal pots and pans before washing into the dishwasher because food residue can damage metallic kitchenware.
Note: If the metal kitchenware is made of cast iron, tin, gold and bronze, you’d better hand-wash it otherwise it will cause rust and discolor of your kitchenware.
3.Stoneware, China and Glass.
The majority of china and stoneware are tough and heat-resistant so it is safe in dishwasher. Besides, glass kitchenware such as tempered glass food container and high-borosilicate glass food storage containers are safe in top-rack dishwasher.
Note: If you don’t want any defect made on your hand-painted items, antique items and lead-crystal glasses, you’d better hand-wash them because dishwashers may be too harsh for your glass and china and will result in discoloration.
